EUCONTACT AT HOME IN EUROPE LTD., hereinafter referred to as “EUCONTACT”, has published this Privacy Policy Statement to demonstrate our firm commitment to the privacy of the users of our Website.
It applies to the use of your personal information (also known as ‘personal data’) by EUCONTACT through the viewing or use of its main website – www.eucontact.eu , hereinafter referred to as the “Website”- or any website within the EUCONTACT domain, email addresses under this domain or any website, including www.eumatching, www.edumatching.eu , www.eu-funding-bids.eu , www.working-in-wurope.eu, www.word-storm.eu which has pointed you to this page, services, regardless of how you access or use them, including through mobile devices.

What type of information/data we process
EUCONTACT does not collect any personal data about you on this Website, apart from information you volunteer, for example by emailing us.
We discriminate between Personal data and Technical data and consider 2 different cases:

- 02.02. If you are A client of the Website
- 02.03. If you are a beneficiary, other than a client, of a project concluded between EUCONTACT and the respective client, for example a beneficiary or accompanying person within the EUMATCHING / EUMATCHING + / EDUMATCHING / WORD-STORM / JOB MOBILITY / MADE IN EUROPE project lines, with or without funding through EU Funding Programmes.
Personal data
02.01. If you are A visitor of the Website
If you are a visitor of our Website, EUCONTACT shall process the personal data you provide us with, directly in conjunction with using the Website, such as those in the “Contact” section or “Events” registration section (● full name, ● position, ● employer you work with, ● email address, ● phone; ● address), whether you contact us in this manner.
02.02. If you are a client of the Website
If you are a client of the Website, EUCONTACT shall be processing your personal details, such as: ● full name, ● phone, ● email address, ● phone number, ● invoice address, ● delivery address, ● VAT no., ● unique personal identifier data; ● date of birth, ● the manner in which you use the Website, e.g. your behaviour/preferences related to accessing our Website, as well as ● any other type of data you directly provide us with in the context of accessing our site or using it.
02.03 If you are a beneficiary, other than a client, of a project concluded between EUCONTACT and the respective client, for example a beneficiary or accompanying person within the EUMATCHING / EUMATCHING + / EDUMATCHING / WORD-STORM / JOB MOBILITY / MADE IN EUROPE / project lines, with or without funding through EU Funding Programmes.
In this case, EUCONTACT shall be processing the following types of personal data, such as: ● full name, ● phone, ● email address, ● phone number, ● invoice address, ● delivery address, ● VAT no., ● unique personal identifier data and biographical data, for example date of birth, location of birth, parents´ names; ● student ID no.; ● next of kin/emergency contact details; ● identity card, passport copies; ● contact details of the college enrolled with; ● financial information (including details of funding, grants, fees, bank details-IBAN, BIC, name of the bank); ● academic history, including grade information and marking, qualifications awarded, diplomas and certificates, including EUROPAS MOBILITY Documents, Grants Agreements, Certificates of Attendance following a work placement period in another EU Member state than your country of origin etc.; ● photos of you before/while on/after completing a European work placement in another EU country than your country of origin; ● testimonials in the form of audio-video recordings, featuring you after completing a European work placement in another EU country, with or without EU funding, once you have been employed following this experience.
In addition to the above, we also process “special categories” of more sensitive personal information/data, such as: ● information about your health (for example, for health insurance or for absence records); ● electronic signatures, as image file data; ● disability information (for example, where needed for the provision of counselling or student support services within the framework of European mobility projects in another EU country; ) ● criminal conviction information, in some cases, when vetting procedures may require us to process criminal conviction information (e.g. for fresh graduates, who have been offered a job in another EU country, following completion of a work placement programme, provided through our institution, as per project types promoted via our Website).
Technical data
Cookies may be used by EUCONTACT to collect non-personal information about how visitors use our Website or to remember display preferences. Temporary session cookies may also be used to enable specific functionality and no information is retained once the “session” is complete.
Occasionally cookie information is passed to third parties for analysing website activity and usage. This information will not include any of your personal information from which you will be readily identifiable. Technical details in connection with visits to the Website may be logged on our .eu domain provider´s server, as reflected on EURID´s webpage. It is the policy of EUCONTACT not to disclose such technical information in respect of individual website visitors to any third party unless obliged to disclose such information by a rule of law. The technical information will be used only for statistical and other administrative purposes.
It shall be noted that technical details, which EUCONTACT cannot associate with any identifiable individual, do not constitute „personal data“ for the purposes of the Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2003 and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018.

02.01. If you are a visitor of the Website
If you are a visitor of our Website, EUCONTACT processes your personal data as set out below:
02.01.a) For marketing activities, such as informing on the project lines and activities carried out by EUCONTACT by means of email, texting, via WhatsApp or YouTube.
In this case, we process the personal data you have volunteered to provided us with, after you have given us your consent, if you wish to.
You can opt in / out from receiving updates or correspondence from us on our project lines and activities when email-ing us or contacting us via text, WhatsApp or through YouTube channels.
Opting out from receiving updates / information from us and from having your personal data processed in this fashion shall not cause any inconvenience to you.
02.01.b) For monitoring the traffic on the Website, improve your user experience as offered by the Website and in order to resolve claims and reclamations
In this case, we process the personal data you have volunteered to provide us with in order to ensure the correct functioning of the Website and to continuously improve the user experience of our Website´s visitors by resolving any claim, reclamation, queries that may arise from our Website´s users.
You volunteer to provide us with your personal data in this respect.
Refusing to provide us with your personal data for this purpose shall not cause any inconvenience to you.
02.02. If you are a client of the Website
If you are a client of our Website, EUCONTACT processes your personal data as set out below:
02.02.a) In order to implement the contractual relationship between Yourselves and EUCONTACT.
In this case, we process the personal data you have provided us with on grounds of the agreement(s) concluded between Yourself and EUCONTACT.
Your personal data in this respect are necessary in order to implement the obligations set out in the contract.
Refusing to provide us with your personal data for this purpose may result in the inability to fulfill the obligations set out in the contract between Yourself and EUCONTACT.
02.02.b) In order to meet the legal obligations in the context of the services provided by means of the Website, including obligations of fiscal and storing nature.
In this case, we process the personal data you have provided us with on grounds of our legal duties.
It is mandatory to provide us with your personal data in this respect.
Refusing to provide us with your personal data for this purpose may result in EUCONTACT´s inability to meet its legal duties, thus in the inability to provide you with the services offered through the Website.
02.02.c) For marketing activities, such as informing on the project lines and activities carried out by EUCONTACT by means of email, texting, via WhatsApp or YouTube.
In this case, we process the personal data you have volunteered to provided us with, after you have given us your consent, if you wish to.
You can opt in / out from receiving updates or correspondence from us on our project lines and activities when email-ing us or contacting us via text, WhatsApp or through YouTube channels.
Opting out from receiving updates / information from us and from having your personal data processed in this fashion shall not cause any inconvenience to you.
02.02.d) For carrying out various analyses and/or reports on the running of the Website, carrying out profiles on service preferences, all for the main purpose of improving the user experience offered by the Website.
In this case, we process the personal data you have volunteered to provided us with, for the ongoing improvement of the user experience of our clients in relation with the Website.
You volunteer to provide us with your personal data in this respect.

02.03. If you are a beneficiary, other than a client, of a project concluded between EUCONTACT and the respective client
This case refers to the situation in which you are a beneficiary, other than a client, of a project concluded between EUCONTACT and the respective client, for example a beneficiary or accompanying person within the EUMATCHING / EUMATCHING + / EDUMATCHING / WORD-STORM / JOB MOBILITY / MADE IN EUROPE project lines, with or without funding through EU Funding Programmes.
If you are this type of data provider, in relation to the services offered through our Website, EUCONTACT processes your personal data as set out below:
02.03.a) In order to implement the contractual relationship between EUCONTACT´s client and yourself, as beneficiary of the projects arising from these contracts (e.g. European placement programmes, with or without European funding).
In this case, we process the personal data you have provided us with on grounds of the agreement(s) concluded between the client, whose projects beneficiary/accompanying person you are, and EUCONTACT.
Your personal data in this respect are necessary in order to implement the obligations set out in the contract.
Refusing to provide us with your personal data for this purpose may result in the inability to fulfill the obligations set out in the contract between the client and EUCONTACT, with you, as beneficiary, not benefitting from these projects.
02.03.b) For marketing activities, such as disseminating the project lines and activities carried out by EUCONTACT by means of email, texting, via WhatsApp or YouTube; brochures or other similar publications, online and in print format.
Testimonials published online, on our site or channels like YouTube, are subject of a copyright ownership transfer agreement between you and EUCONTACT.
In this case, we process the personal data you have volunteered to provided us with, after you have given us your consent, if you wish to.
You volunteer to provide us with your personal data in this respect.
Refusing to provide us with your personal data for this purpose shall not cause any inconvenience to you.
04. How is your information/data shared? |
In addition to cases where EUCONTACT is required by law or permitted to disclose your details to others, third party disclosure may take place, including:
- To funding bodies such as ERASMUS+ National Agencies and other agencies, that support or sponsor EUCONTACT´s transnational educational projects;
- To professional, educational or similar institutions, as project partners based in Europe, travel and insurance agencies, accommodation providers and individuals that you have authorized (including parent/guardian of minors) or with whom EUCONTACT is collaborating in conjunction with the projects you are/have been beneficiary of, such as ERASMUS+ Mobility placements in VET, EUMATCHING, EUMATCHING+, EDUMATCHING, WORD-STORM, JOBMOBILITY, MADE-IN-EUROPE;
- To external companies to process information about you on EUCONTACT´s behalf, such as third-party service providers. For example, we send payment and financial information to our accountancy service provider, including your data; or we may hire an external ICT company, to assist us with organizing online promotion campaigns, in which case we may share your data you have volunteered to provide us with and you have consented to have it shared in this manner, e. g. when registering to attend our seminars or via the contact form;
- A debt collection agency where necessary, because of outstanding payments owed to EUCONTACT or other charges;
- Bodies / government departments in charge with the recognition of the professional qualification of a EUCONTACT´s project beneficiary, in a EU country other than the EU home country of a project beneficiary, for a qualification acquired in the EU home country;
- For beneficiaries of EUCONTACT´s transnational educational projects, such as European work placement mobility EUMATCING, EUMATCHING+, EDUMATCHING etc.) or similar: In the case of an emergency, your emergency contact(s), based on details you’ve provided will be shared to contact next to kin (we will assume that you have checked with the individuals before you supply their contact details to us);
- When we receive children´s data form the education providers we work with, whose students are the children herewith referred to and when we share these data with professional, educational or similar institutions, as project partners based in Europe, travel and insurance agencies, accommodation providers and individuals in order to implement cross-border educational projects, it is the liability of the education providers, whose students are the children herewith referred to, to collect parental consent for sharing the information as set out in this Privacy Policy Statement;
- To bodies as stipulated by law, when and as necessary
05. Will your information/data be transferred abroad? |
Personal data/information we have been provided with may be transferred abroad, but only throughout the geographical scope of the European Union / the EU.
06. Data security / safeguarding |
We take appropriate physical and technical security measures, including staff awareness training to maintain the security of personal data supplied to us and we review these measures regularly.
The personal data/information we are provided with are not stored on the website.
07. Data retention timespan – How long will your infor-mation / data be retained for? |
When we determine for how long we keep your information, we consider a number of factors, such as legal, reporting, and accounting requirements.
If you are one of EUCONTACT´s clients, elements related to confidentiality and non-disclosure are set out in the agreement(s) concluded with yourself.
EUCONTACT shall process your personal data throughout the lifecycle of our contractual agreements with you and beyond these, in compliance with the legal obligations we need to meet (e.g. for accounting documentation, European projects audits up to a maximum of 10 years, commencing with the accounting year in which this documentation was produced).
In the event you withdraw your consent, allowing EUCONTACT to process your data for marketing purposes, EUCONTACT shall discontinue using your data in this context, starting with the moment of withdrawal, communicated in written form, by email sent to “contact@eucontact.eu”, to EUCONTACT. Your consent withdrawal on data processing shall not affect any data processing activity by EUCONTACT prior to the moment of consent withdrawal.
08. What are your rights under data protection law? |
You have the following rights under data protection law, although your ability to exercise these rights may be subject to certain conditions and exceptions in accordance with Data Protection Law:
